Prepping New DiapersIf you've just purchased new diapers, you'll need to wash them. All of your diapers with synthetic fabrics can go in a wash with your diaper detergent and dried. Any fabrics with Bamboo or Hemp will need to be washed (with detergent, but no other diapers added) and dried 4-5 times to remove their natural oils and waxes which can cause repelling. New cotton prefolds will also need to be washed (no detergent necessary) and dried 4-5 times so the layers can "quilt" (bunch up) and absorb better.
